Ok, I'm going to put my 2 cents in on this one and I'm sure i'm going to get bitch-slapped by every robgger out there. As much as I sympathize with Rob and respect the "He doesn't want this, neither do we" campaign, I also understand that he's the most sought-after man on the planet. As much as it sucks for him, it unfortunately comes with the territory. That's the reality. He's not the first actor/entertainer that has had to deal with over-zealous paps and/or fans. Snapping pics of him entering or leaving venues, hotels or restaurants is expected being that it is "public" space. I really believe Rob understands this. I think sometimes it's just hard for these celebrities to conceal their annoyance.
Everyone wants a piece of Rob. Whether it be from paps trying to make a buck, to the magazines wanting high circulation numbers, to tabloid tv wanting high ratings right down to Summit wanting to reep their efforts. How is this any different from fans stalking him for an autograph or picture? Or the multitude of bloggers regurgitating the same info and pics over and over?
I'm sure Rob would be humbled by the "Respect Rob" video, but he also realizes that his stardom, annoying as it may be, has also brought him the very same notoriety that will ensure a very amicable career. He has conveyed these feelings through various interviews that i've come across. He said in an interview that he expects this to die down after the Twilight saga runs its course. That he just has to ride it out.
Do we just blame the paps for this invasion or do we all share in the responsibility? "We" meaning all Robggers who share (drool) his every move, the media (tv and print), the establishments he frequents that tip off the paps as to his whereabouts, fans who tip off other fans and Summit Entertainment who pimps him out with a blitz of talk show appearances, promotional tours spanning the world and multiple fan conventions? And what about Robert himself? (ducking) The most sought after answer on everyone's mind worldwide is, "Is he or is he not with Kristen Stewart?" I believe by not answering directly with a "yes" or "no", it keeps the paps fervently in pursuit of THE photograph that will bear proof. It really isn't anyone's business whether they're an item or not. But why not give a straight answer, just to put the issue to bed? Speculation feeds fire and if you don't want to feel the heat from it, why not just put an end to the speculation?
TOR you rock and I totally respect and applaud your grass roots effort. My posted opinion is in no way meant to hamper your message to the intrusive paps. After all, it is just MY opinion and probably not worth a damn to anyone other than myself!
Call me selfish, call me an inconsiderate bitch if you must, but I'll continue to post any pictures I come across. If you feel they're intrusive, feel free skip over them or even leave a nasty comment if you must. I started Robert Pattinson Fix to share my findings, ALL FINDINGS, with those who share my obsession...
