New Photo's of Robert Pattinson on Set of Bel Ami

Robert Pattinson was back on the London set of Bel Ami this morning looking adorable in his hat and period costume. We caught a glimpse of him yesterday taking a break and strolling with a mug of tea, and it looks like he kept the caffeination coming today with his to-go thermos. Rob didn't skip a beat as he went from promoting Remember Me in NYC to filming this project back home in England. The role presents exciting and new territory for Robert, and you guys can't wait to see him playing a ladies man.

To see the entire set go here.

I already love what I see...
here we go again!

Is Uma too old for Rob?

Uma Thurman's rep recently confirmed to People.com that the 39-year-old actress is set to star alongside Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, 23, in Bel Ami, a movie based on a 19th-century story by French writer Guy de Maupassant. Pattinson will play a bad-boy journalist. And Thurman? Well, she won’t be playing his mother, if that’s what you’re thinking. She’ll be playing one of his older love interests. Due to her age, some feel she is not right for the role.

God forbid if Rob was filmed
fucking a cougar...

Totally fucking insulted here.

Wonder what Rob's thoughts on this are...

Robert Ponders His Post-'Twilight' Possibilities

FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: Having been heralded to fame by the "Twilight Saga" and the once-fledgling Summit studio behind the mega-successful franchise, Robert Pattinson can't help but wonder sometimes if it's all just a fluke. "I've only done one movie outside of the 'Twilight' series, 'Remember Me,' "Rob recently said about his first post-fame project with Emilie de Ravin and Pierce Brosnan. "But even that I did with the same studio, so I guess I'm still a little bit blind as to what my actual economic viability will be outside of the series."

Robert will be testing that "economic viability" with several projects throughout 2010 including the Guy de Maupassant adaptation "Bel Ami" with Uma Thurman and the Western "Unbound Captives," which the actor discussed recently with MTV News.

One unlucky cougar

ScreenDaily.com announces in a 11/4/09 headlilne, “Pattinson, Kidman board Bel Ami for Protagonist,” and goes on to report, “In an intriguing star pairing, Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson is teaming with Nicole Kidman to star in Bel Ami, the film of Guy De Maupassant’s erotically charged story of ambition, power and seduction.”
The story was picked up EVERYWHERE, and reported as fact by numerous websites, including Perez Hilton.
So is it true?
Well, yes, it is based on a novel by Guy de Maupassant, and yes, Pattinson will play a cad.
What’s NOT true is that Kidman will star opposite Pattinson. While she did consider the project, the film’s timing didn’t work out. Kidman’s rep told Gossip Cop that “Bel Ami” is “categorically not happening for her.”

Robert Pattinson to be joined by Nicole Kidman for 'Bel Ami'

In an intriguing star pairing, Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson is teaming with Nicole Kidman to star in Bel Ami, the film of Guy De Maupassant’s erotically charged story of ambition, power and seduction.
Multi-award winning UK theatre directors Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod are directing from a screenplay by Rachel Bennette.
London-based Protagonist has taken on international sales to the film.
Uberto Pasolini (The Full Monty) will produce, with Simon Fuller of 19 Entertainment acting as executive producer. The film will shoot in London and Budapest from February 2010.
Donnellan and Ormerod, whose Cheek By Jowl is widely regarded as one of the most influential theatre companies in the world, will make their feature debut with this story about a young man’s rise to the top of Parisian high society in the 1890s, via the beds of the city’s most glamorous and influential women.
In a world where politics and media jostle for influence, where sex is power and celebrity an obsession, the film has, say the producers, a contemporary relevance which should resonate with audiences worldwide.
Bel Ami is a Redwave Films production in association with 19 Entertainment, Protagonist  Pictures and RaiCinema.  RAI has Italian rights. All other territories will be sold by Protagonist, which has already commenced pre-sales on the film.
