David Slade "Technical" in Directing Eclipse
"He's great," she said of Slade, "he's a really different director from Chris Weitz. Chris Weitz is . . . an actor's director, there's a lot more focus on the emotion, whereas David Slade was a lot more technical, so there was like a distance because he's always thinking about the fuller picture with a lot more of the fight scenes and stuff."
Korey's words echo those of several of the Eclipse castmembers who've spoken up about the director, including Xavier Samuel ("very technically astute") and Kristen Stewart ("very technical").

Summit Rep Dispels Pattinson Eclipse Rumors
Robert Pattinson arrived in the Pacific Northwest a couple of days ago to participate. When he wasn’t in front of the cameras immediately after stepping off the plane, many outlets freaked.
Some even suggested a rift between Pattinson and director David Slade, and that the actor was refusing to be cooperative.
This simply is not the case.
As we speak, Pattinson is on the set filming, a source on the scene confirms to Gossip Cop.
“There are absolutely no problems,” a rep for Summit tells Gossip Cop, adding, “Today is the first day of shooting for Robert Pattinson.”
The pick-ups are underway, as scheduled, and speculation about problems should be curbed in favor of facts.

According to Gossip Cop, Catherine Hardwicke didn't reshoot any seens for "Eclipse", however, there are a few scenes from the movie that are being reshot, but by the film's director David Slade in Vancouver before the film hits theaters June 30th. Apparently, reshoots for the movie have been planned for quite some time, at least that's what a studio rep is reporting. "The reshoot was planned for months, like it is with the majority of the films."
It looks like the rumors regarding Hardwicke and Weiz reshooting the scenes was just an attempt for various website to drive traffic. "Reports much like the one earlier today are ploys to drive traffic without any merit and without any support from the studio on what is actually going on or true."

Breaking Dawn to become 2 films? Not yet, says Studio... The news was reported Thursday (February 11) by Deadline Hollywood, although it should be pointed out that many news outlets have "announced" the same fact over the last few months, all apparently premature.
"No decision has been made," a representative for Summit Entertainment told MTV News after the Deadline Hollywood story ran. "As we have said all along, we are continuing to work with Stephenie Meyer to bring 'Breaking Dawn' to the big screen."
"I have this from several sources and it's definitive," the Web site insists. " 'Breaking Dawn' is the longest in Stephenie Meyer's four-book series lengthwise and it's the most graphic — presenting birth, attempted murder, death and of course vampire bites. ... Summit Entertainment no doubt could save money by making these 'Twilight' Saga movies #4 and #5 back to back and is currently looking for director or directors to helm both features."
In the past, Meyer has expressed mild concern — but faith in the studio — over the possible two-movie idea. Back in December, the split was seemingly reported, then became unofficial once again. Meanwhile, series stars like Anna Kendrick, Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz have weighed in with various opinions. Much of the consideration for a split seems to stem from a similar decision made on the final Harry Potter novel, which will soon debut as two films.
What does this all mean for the millions of die-hard Twi-hards who would kill for an additional "Twilight" film to be made out of Meyer's series? Well, as we've often learned in the past, months of reoccurring rumors often become eventual fact. Stay tuned for more on the "Breaking Dawn" saga — including, quite possibly, official news at some point — in the weeks and months to come.
