I know, this is already old news in the blogger world, but it's new for me being that I was away for the past few days, so I'm going to post it...
Twilight, the bestselling novels by Stephanie Meyer that have been made into a film starring Robert Pattinson, has joined Twitter, thanks to director Chris Weitz.
The account – twitter.com/twilight – appears to be run by Weitz, who is also directing the upcoming sequel, New Moon. At the time of writing Weitz has only been on Twitter for 20 hours or so; his first entry is a plaintive “This is my first ever tweet so please be gentle with me.”
However, in the meantime he has already reached 40,000 followers and provided Tweeting Twilight fans with an exclusive – a still from an early scene between Pattinson and co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. The three play Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob Black respectively.
Other Tweets have been more prosaic, although it may be that some fans will want to know that the full running time of New Moon will be two hours and 10 minutes.
